Using mindfulness and acceptance strategies, I focus my practice on helping anyone who is suffering from stress, anxiety & depression, chronic pain, relationship problems, focus and attention issues & painful memories along with feelings. I work with my clients to foster and grown their own psychological flexibility by connecting you with your full experience and expanding the way you think about and interact with your experience.
I love to incorporate creative approaches to reduce stress in your life with practical, action-oriented, and mindfulness tools to quickly build positive emotions. I am skilled with many tools incorporating cognitive-behavioral strategies that will help you to calm and redirect your thoughts, overcome self-limiting beliefs, choose actions that build the life you want and to be more connected and engaged in the present moment.
Individual therapy is a wonderful resource for kids, tweens, teens and even young adults who need help learning to manage symptoms of anxiety and mood disorders, to process emotions, to work through a variety of stressors (grief, social issues, low self-esteem, etc.), and to improve their moods. Individual therapy provides a safe space for kids to verbalize their struggles and seek help. In many cases, working one-to-one with a therapist is enough to help kids overcome their struggles and learn to self-regulate.
One of the biggest symptoms that I find my clients are seeking support to treat is stress relief. Regardless of the age, the people who enter my office are looking for ways to calm anxiety. We will work together to clarify your feelings, challenge your thoughts, change your behaviors and most importantly practice calming strategies. I will work with you to cultivate kindness and compassion for yourself and others!
As an artist who uses various mediums, I find that all my clients enjoy an opportunity to escape the tension and build in peaceful and relaxing opportunities to calm their minds. There is no better option then to use expressive therapy combined with relaxation and empowerment practice.
When focusing on ways to boost self-esteem, I will help you to practice ways to be strong, brave, confident and most importantly your authentic self. I enjoy the practice of yoga, painting with oils and acrylics, crafting, using meditation and the use of old-fashion card games and board games to engage the fun side of my clients. Therapy is something to look forward to, when it does not feel draining and instead feels helpful, insightful and an opportunity to comfortably grow.
There is no coincidence that my clients who come in for individual therapy ask if they can bring another family member to join in for their next session. My clients tend to refer a friend or family member so that they can experience their own growth. This is a word of mouth practice and therefore I dedicate myself to my clients so that they feel that their time is my priority.
From the very beginning, I honor those who reach out to me, by offering a complimentary consult call to ensure that I would be the best fit for their needs and if not, I will offer suggestions for other professionals who I feel would be great to consider. I believe that it is important for my clients to feel comfortable and confident about their choice of a therapist before they enter my office.
